An exhibition of ceramic works by students of the Josef Vydra School of Applied Arts in Bratislava, presented within the newly created St. Martin Pharmacia space.

ART AT ST. MARTIN PHARMACIA
A space for young creativity
From 20 to 24 September 2022, the newly created St. Martin Pharmacia space became the setting for an exhibition of ceramic works by students of the Ceramics Department at the Josef Vydra School of Applied Arts in Bratislava.
The exhibition was created in collaboration with the Ceramics Department under the guidance of Professor Milan Hanko and introduced a selection of student works to the St. Martin Pharmacia interior, bringing together craftsmanship, material, experimentation and a young artistic perspective.
The ceramic objects entered into dialogue with a space that was itself conceived as a meeting point of history, contemporary design, art and a curatorial approach.
20—24 SEPTEMBER 2022
From the very beginning, St. Martin Pharmacia was conceived not only as a retail space, but also as a place for art, craftsmanship and creative encounters.
The exhibition of works by young ceramic artists was one of the first moments in which this idea took tangible form.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Ceramics as a natural part of the interior
The exhibition was not conceived as a separate gallery installation. Individual ceramic works were placed directly throughout the St. Martin Pharmacia space, becoming part of its visual world for several days.
The students’ works appeared among the original interior elements, furniture, artworks and details created for St. Martin Pharmacia. This connection made it possible to experience the ceramics not only as exhibition pieces, but as living objects within the space.
A traditional material entered a contemporary environment, demonstrating how naturally craftsmanship can connect with design, architecture and everyday life.

SCHOOL OF APPLIED ARTS BRATISLAVA
Young creativity, craftsmanship and experimentation
Ceramics is one of the oldest craft disciplines, yet in the hands of a new generation it can take on entirely new forms.
The students’ works introduced different approaches to material, form, surface and expression. Each object carried an individual artistic signature while forming part of a broader dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary creation.
For St. Martin Pharmacia, it felt natural to provide a space for precisely this kind of creativity — curious, personal and open to experimentation.

ST. MARTIN PHARMACIA × ART
Five days dedicated to ceramics and young creativity
The exhibition held from 20 to 24 September 2022 became one of the first cultural moments in the story of St. Martin Pharmacia.
For several days, the new space became a meeting point where a young generation of artists encountered a historic setting, contemporary interior design and its visitors.
Connections like these were part of the vision for St. Martin Pharmacia from the very beginning — a brand and a space in which beauty belongs not only to products, but also to art, craftsmanship, objects and the people who create them.
